Maharashtra government climbs Gunthewari charges

The State government has climbed the Gunthewari charges for the regularization of unapproved designs and plots in the area. After the refreshed changes in the Maharashtra Gunthewari Developments (regularization, upgradation and control) Act 2001, the proprietors should pay more than three times the current charges.

As indicated by Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT), the advancement charges were not reexamined since August 2014. The refreshed cost has been set to Rs 168 for every sq ft from the past Rs 56 for each sq ft. Notwithstanding, the public authority has expressed that unapproved plots will pay no charges assuming the charges are paid during the regularization of the design.

Prior in 2013, the public authority had climbed the charges to Rs 112 for every sq ft, however later the choice was withdrawn. In 2014, the charges were kept up with at Rs 56 for every sq ft.
